Austin, Texas, October 29th, 2026, FinanceWire
First issue under the Timechain name includes 70 pages of full-page artwork, premium print production, and three limited collector editions.
Timechain Art Magazine, the independent publication formerly known as Bitcoin Art Magazine, has opened the pre-sale for Edition One. The issue spans 154 pages and brings together 30 artists working across a range of traditional art forms, including painting, drawing, sculpture, printmaking, and mixed media.
Designed as a softcover fine-art journal, Edition One combines large-format artwork reproduction with artist statements, essays, and editorial features documenting the culture developing around Bitcoin and sovereignty. Seventy pages are dedicated entirely to full-page artwork, giving individual works room to be fully appreciated rather than treating them primarily as illustrations around editorial text.
Featured artists include cryptograffiti, FractalEncrypt, MADEX, Trevor Jones, Ksenia Buridanova, Pepelangelo, Proof of Paint, The Great Print, Sweedgraffixx, Maxis Club, Kenneth Burris, ZETRA, Asanoha, and more, bringing together established and emerging voices exploring the cultural and philosophical dimensions of Bitcoin.
The issue includes a foreword by Bitcoin advocate and author of “The Big Print,” Lawrence Lepard. Its cover features cryptograffiti’s sculpture for the Finney Freedom Prize, the Human Rights Foundation award named for Hal Finney, the pioneering software developer, privacy advocate, and early Bitcoin contributor. The prize recognizes individuals whose work advances Bitcoin and human rights.
“The work contained herein is brilliant and unique. If you enjoy art and are a Bitcoiner, I believe that you will find it to be exceptional,” said Lawrence Lepard, author of “The Big Print” and founder of Equity Management Associates.
The transition from Bitcoin Art Magazine to Timechain Art Magazine reflects an expansion in the publication’s editorial scope. “Timechain,” a term rooted in Bitcoin’s early technical vocabulary, gives the magazine a distinct identity while allowing it to follow wider cultural themes explored by Satoshi, and increasingly present in the work it documents.

“Bitcoin remains the foundation of what we do,” said Asanoha, Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Timechain Art Magazine. “But the art has always pointed toward larger questions about freedom, sovereignty, privacy, monetary history and technology. Timechain gives us room to follow these ideas as the culture develops.”
Edition One follows the Genesis Edition, which featured 36 artists and established the journal’s archival art book approach of presenting artwork together with the stories, ideas, and context surrounding its creation. The new issue continues that approach with 30 artists and a broader editorial foundation for future volumes.
Particular attention has been given to print production. The 8.5-by-11-inch journal will be printed on premium paper and cover stock selected to reproduce artwork with clarity, detail, and consistency. It is designed not only as a current art journal, but as a durable record intended to be kept, collected, and revisited.
Edition One is available for pre-order as an open-edition magazine alongside three numbered collector versions: a Foil Cover Edition limited to 200 copies, a Hardcover Edition limited to 100 copies, and a Patron Edition limited to 21 copies. Each collector tier builds on the core journal with its own format and presentation.
